About eight years ago we realized that no matter how delicious they are, our cakes and cookies are still unexcitingly sliced and have dull round shapes. We had a bald idea: what if we redesigned the familiar shapes so that we would not have to stare at the same triangle on the plate? What more, what if we provided proper serving and packing as well? What if the chair we sat on, the table we ate at, the place we called confectionery would get over the usual thonet-chair, coffeehouse-wannabe style?
